Imortal finale nears, only 4 weeks away!

Imortal, which stars Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz, is now down to its last 16 episodes.

As early as March, it was already being talked about that Imortal is going to end this April.

And now it's indeed happening as it's set to end on April 29, that's 4 weeks from now.

That's kinda sad.

Imortal reportedly is going off air because of declining viewership.

There may be truth to that, but 7 months on air? That's quite an achievement already.

Let's remember that Imortal was the one which paved the way for ABS-CBN to re-claim primetime supremacy in Mega Manila.

Since "Agua Bendita" ended in mid-September 2010, ABS-CBN's primetime line-up became weak and GMA had a much stronger line-up of shows led by Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown.

But the supremacy went back to ABS-CBN when Imortal premiered in October 4 and debuted on top spot.

AGB Mega Manila ratings, October 4, 2010:
1. Imortal (ABS-CBN) - 15.1%
2. Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown (GMA-7) - 13.5%
3. 24 Oras (GMA-7) - 13.3%
4. Noah (ABS-CBN) - 13.1%
5. Ilumina (GMA-7) - 12.7%

Even if a new show (Mara Clara) became part of ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida (starting in October 25), Imortal still continued to be on top.

AGB Mega Manila ratings, November 30, 2010:
1. Imortal (ABS-CBN) - 13.2%
2. 24 Oras (GMA-7) - 11.9%
3. Willing Willie (TV5) - 11.8%
4. Mara Clara (ABS-CBN) - 11.6%
5. Bantatay (GMA-7) - 11.3%

Mara Clara only dominated primetime race starting in February.

AGB Mega Manila ratings, February 1, 2010:

3. Imortal (ABS-CBN) - 11.7%
4. Bantatay (GMA-7) / Dwarfina (GMA-7) - 11.5%
5. The Baker King (GMA-7) - 11.1%
