Sid Lucero, Lovi Poe win Best Drama Actor, Actress in the 8th Enpress Awards

Sid Lucero won his 2nd award from the Entertainment Press Inc. or ENPRESS, the Best Performance by a Actor in a Leading Role (Drama) award for Adolf Alix's gay-themed indie film "Muli" during last night's 8th Golden Screen Awards.

He won over Coco Martin (Noy), Fanny Serrano (Tarima) and John Lloyd Cruz (Miss You Like Crazy).

It was already Sid's 2nd from ENPRESS. He previously won Breakthrough Performance by an Actor for "Donsol" during the 4th Enpress Awards held in 2007.

He is now one of the 10 actors/actresses who have won at least 2 trophies in Enpress Awards' 8-year history.

Cherry Pie Picache, 3 (2004, 2007, 2008)
Judy Ann Santos, 3 (2004, 2005, 2007)
Ara Mina, 2 (2004, 2005)
Coco Martin, 2 (2009, 2010)
Dennis Trillo, 2 (2005, 2010)
Eugene Domingo, 2 (2008, 2010)
Iza Calzado, 2 (2005, 2010)
Sid Lucero, 2 (2007, 2011)
Tirso Cruz III, 2 (2004, 2011)
Zsa Zsa Padilla, 2 (2006, 2011)

It's quite interesting that Sid Lucero won for his role in "Muli" which he declared on Twitter as his LAST gay role.

But it seems like a gay role is the one which usually gives him an acting award. In 2008, Sid also won many awards for a gay portrayal in "Selda".

Meanwhile, Lovi Poe was the winner of the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for Drama on this year's Enpress Awards.

This Kapuso star won for the Cinemalaya 2010 entry "Mayohan", beating the likes of Bea Alonzo (Sa’Yo Lamang), Dawn Zulueta (Sigwa) and Lorna Tolentino.

It's her first from Enpress but already her 2nd for the movie "Mayohan".

Amazingly, Lovi has won 3 Best Actress awards in just 8 months. She won Best Actress for "Mayohan" in the 6th Cinemalaya last July, then Best Actress for "Sagrada Familia" in the 58th FAMAS Awards in December and another one for "Mayohan" just last night.
