MISS EARTH 2011 WILL BE HELD IN VIETNAM
Road to Miss Earth 2011:According to the contract signed between Philippines-based Carousel Productions Inc., the owner of the Miss Earth contest, and Thanh Nien Media Corporation, Vietnam will be the host country of Miss Earth 2010 and Miss Earth 2011
Under this contract, the two sides will join hands in organizing a total of 10 Miss Earth events in Vietnam. The two consecutive pageants, Miss Earth 2010 and Miss Earth 2011, will be held in Vietnam. After that, the beauty contest will be held in another country and will return to Vietnam later.
Raymon Monzon, President of Carousel, said, “The Miss Earth 2010 is the 10th event of its kind and this is also the first time we’ll bring the pageant out of the Philippines, its home country.”
“We decided to choose Vietnam because the country is close to the Philippines and it successfully organized a special competition for Miss Earth 2007.”
According to Nguyen Cong Khe, Chairman of Thanh Nien Corp.’s Executive Board, the events would help boost the images of both the Philippines and Vietnam and “promote the Miss Earth brand to a higher level.”
