Nick Verreos Hosts "Wine Women and Shoes" Benefit in Seattle May 5th!!!

Seattle Fashionistas: I'm Coming To Rate Your Shoes...Oh, and also to HOST a FABULOUS Party for a GREAT Cause!!

In three weeks, on Thursday May 5th to be exact, I will be in Seattle (one of my FAVORITE cities in the World, thank you very much!) to host that city's "Wine Women & Shoes" Gala benefiting Seattle Children's Home.

The Seattle Children's Home has been in existence sine 1884 , providing incredible mental health services to children and their families. I am so honored to be involved with such a wonderful organization. If you've been keeping up with my lovely BLOG here, you may know that I have a fondness for Seattle--the Emerald City--and have hosted several FAB events there. This time, I am being invited back--and I assure you, this event will be AMAZING! Why?

Nick Verreos Hosts Seattle's "Wine Women & Shoes" Benefit May 5th

First of all, I am HOSTING!
In other words: Watch Out Seattle! It's going to get COUTURE-Crazy! In addition, you will get to shop, nibble (yes, there will be lots of food darlings!) and taste sensational wines--and actually meet the vintners behind them! Vintners--now that's your new word of the day! (at least for moi)

You will also get a chance to bid on one-of-a-kind experiences, including an original ONE-OF-KIND fashion illustration --done by ME--right then and there!
I will also be giving prizes for the "sassiest" pairs of SHOES! Like these Louboutin's above (yep, if any ladies wear these, I might just SCREAM in glee!)

And there's more: Here's a Rundown of the Evening's Festivities:
5-6pm: VIP Reception where I will give a special discussion on current fashion trends (for VIP ticket holders only!)

6-7pm: Red Carpet Arrivals--I will be commenting on attendee's FAB pumps! (Yep, it's like me doing my Live From The Academy awards Red Carpet Show!)

7-8pm: Party Dinner--time to DISH on Project Runway and my new upcoming TV show--as well as having Katy Perry AND Carrie Underwood wear my designs

8:30-9pm: Raffle and Best Shoe Contest--and this is when I will sketch my original one-of-a-kind sketch to the Winning Bidder!!!

Nick Verreos to Judge Seattle's Third Annual Project Red Dress June 4Th and a Workshop on June 5Th!!

Seattle Fashionistas: Get RED Carpet Ready!!!!
I am SOOO EXCITED to announce that I am returning to Seattle in two weeks: I have been invited back (I guess Seattle "Hearts Nick"!) to be a "special guest" and judge at the 3Rd Annual Project Red Dress. It will be held once again at the historic and oh-so-elegant Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Downtown Seattle on June 4Th.Monir Zandghoreishi and Nick Verreos, Project Red Dress 2009

Project Red Dress
is a fabulous event created by the Seattle Fashion DIVA (and my official Persian "Mother"!) IADT Fashion Design Program Chair and FGI's Seattle Regional Director, Monir Zandghoreishi, where students from local fashion design schools create a one-of-a-kind red gown and "debut" it in this Gala Fashion Show. Proceeds from the event benefits the American Heart Association so it is all for a very worthwhile cause. Take Notes: Nick Verreos judging Project Red Dress 2009

I have been a judge for the last 2 years and it is always UNBELIEVABLE!!!! There were some amazing gowns and equally amazing talent in the Emerald City! Hopefully Seattle and the guests will allow me to do my Nick Runway Walk to "Bless" the show!
NICK SEATTLE WORKSHOP, Saturday June 5Th:
I will also be doing a very special workshop the following day at the International Academy of Design and Technology/IADT Seatlle/Tukwila Campus, on the topic of "Trends" from 11 AM-1PM Saturday June 5Th.

It's FREE but RSVP's are required.
Email Laura Nielsen, lnielsen@iadtseattle.com or call 866-903-4238 and ask to speak to a Representative.

Nick Verreos and MSN/Special K's The Victory Project Seattle Divas!!

Shopping, Styling, and Filming...in Seattle!Finerie Pose: Nick Verreos strikes a pose on the streets of Seattle

Days after ringing in the New Year, last month, I flew to the "Emerald City"--Seattle--along with my "Design Partner In Crime" David Paul to go SHOPPIN', STYLIN' and FILMIN'. As you may know (if you've been reading my blog here) I am one of the four esteemed Experts of this great new webshow called "The Victory Project" co-sponsored by Special K and MSN.
Struttin': Nick Verreos and Heather from The Victory Project, Mario's Seattle

We will travel three cities in the US, find four women in each city, and help them get nutritional, physical, as well as make-up and style/fashion makeovers. First stop was Seattle.
Along with David's styling expertise (he has styled many a commercial, infomercial and magazine shoot--he even assisted THE Andre Leon Tally for an Arthur Elgort Vogue photo shoot back in the day), we also got AMAZING assistance from Gretchen Bell, a Seattle-based stylist and shopping DIVA! Styling Company: David Paul, Gretchen Bell and Nick Verreos, Mario's Seattle

Our shoots took place at two wonderful Seattle stores, Mario's (a very high end boutique a la Barneys NY) and The Finerie, a distinctive smaller boutique that carries lots of local designers as well as one-of-a-kind not-found-anywhere-else pieces. Latin Lovers: Nick Verreos and Jocelyn in her "Reveal" dress

I got the chance to pick the most fabulous looks--from head to toe--for my four "Seattle Divas", (as I called them): Rebecca, Heather, Sonja, and Jocelyn. Rebecca and Nick Verreos, MSN/Special K The Victory Project, and...Nick Verreos and Sonja, MSN/Special K The Victory Project

All of them had a certain goal and after weeks of hard work, painful but fulfilling exercises and lots of Special K cereal later, they were ready for their Style Transformation, courtesy of moi! We all had great fun and I must admit, the ladies looked AMAZING! Heather and Nick Verreos, MSN/Special K The Victory Project

Well, actually VICTORIOUS!!! And wasn't that the point? I was sad to say "Goodbye" but as always, I had a great time in Seattle and so happy I could make the ladies smile and be their "Fairy Style Godmother".

Nick Verreos Unveils The Victory Project!!!!

V is for VICTORY...
I am so proud to announce a new venture that I am really excited about: The Victory Project. The Victory Project is an MSN-exclusive show co-sponsored by Special K , where twelve women are going to transform their bodies for a very special moment in their lives--whether it be an interview, a momentous anniversary, a special birthday, or a new job--for the new year.
Victory Project Glam Squad: Chantal Moore, Nick Verreos, Kacy Duke and Katherine Brooking

To guide, mentor and inspire them through their transformation, The Victory Project Show will have four experts, handpicked for specific goals. Kacy Duke will be their fitness guru helping lose some weight and tone their bodies through training and lots of cardio (I might need to give her a call after the Holidays!); Katherine Brooking will assist them with nutrition and how to stay away from Fettuccine Alfredo (I can't!); Chantal Moore will make them even more beautiful (than they already are) with her make-up expertise and I, well, I have been chosen to be their "Style Guru".
Drama Queen: Nick Verreos recording some Victory Project voice overs

I will be their best style friend, their personal shopper and "Ego Booster" all rolled up into one.
We will travel to three US cities and find four women in each city who are looking for a makeover for their special event. Our first city will be one of my favorite cities in the US: Seattle, Washington.
Project Red Dress Runway: Nick Verreos striking a pose, Macy's Seattle Project Red Dress '09

In the past three years, I have judged and/or hosted half a dozen fashion shows and events in Seattle, including the Macy's Project Red Dress Benefit Gala Fashion Show as well as several for the International Academy of Design and Technology.
My Girls: Nick Verreos with two of the Seattle ladies, Heather Teegarden and Rebecca Miller

I love the Emerald City and I will be there the second week of January (that's in two weeks!) to help transform the "Seattle Four" from Drab to Fab, as they say! They have been working their little butts off getting in shape, eating better and working out so now I will show them how to look more fabulous in their new Victorious bodies!

If you are interested in being part of The Victory Project Show, click
HERE for more information. Maybe you might be chosen as one of our "Victory Ladies" in one of the cities we will travel across the USA and get a chance for a new body, a new healthy diet and a new fashionable and stylish you (via yours truly!).
