Just seconds after she was announced Australia’s Next Top Model, victory was cruelly wrenched from the claws of poor 19-year-old Sydneysider Kelsey Martinovich and Queensland 18-year-old Amanda Ware was crowned the true winner.
The runner-up will now be given a special cash and holiday prize to compensate for the mix-up.
Some internet bloggers now believe the whole thing was a massive publicity stunt, but the show’s producers have adamantly denied that, saying it was human error on the part of the behind-the-scenes crew reacting to the extremely close public vote decision between the two finalists."
