Selena Gomez in Julien Macdonald Fall 2011: Little Miss Selena went a bit, shall I say "Gothic" for tonight's MTV VMA's. I get what she's going for: She's doing that "thing" that all these former Disney girls do--pushing the "envelope" and being a little more edgy. When I look at the model on the runway, the black embroidered Gothic-Vampira edgy thing works. On Selena, however, it almost doesn't. Maybe it's the gold pumps, the almost-pageant-y up-do, and lest we forget: She's just so darn CUTE! A "Gothic dark" dress doesn't really belong on such a CUTE girl. What are your thoughts?
