"I Am Legend", "My Girlfriend is a Gumiho" soon on ABS-CBN

Two exciting Koreanovela shows are coming up on ABS-CBN this coming May, one will be on primetime while the other one will be on its afternoon block.

First is the "I Am Legend" starring Kim Jung Eun, the Vivian that we loved in "Lovers In Paris".

In "I Am Legend", Kim Jung Eun plays Solen (or Solenn, as in Solenn Heussaff?), a woman who reinvents herself into a lady rocker after divorcing her husband.

It was aired in Korea from August to September and also stars Kim Seung Soo and Lee Joon Hyuk as the leading men. (I'm not familiar with these two men)

Kim Jung Eun was actually not the first choice for the role. It was originally intended for Kim Sun Ah, lead star of "My Name Is Kim Sam Soon", who had to beg off because she reportedly didn't like playing a lady rocker.

Some K-pop artists did a cameo for "I Am Legend". They were U-Kiss, Teen Top, Chu Ga Yeol (a solo artist) and Kim Hee Chul of Super Junior.

"I Am Legend" will start airing on May 2 on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.

The second Koreanovela is "My Girlfriend is a Gumiho", starring Lee Seung Gi (of "Shining Inheritance") and Shin Min Ah (of "A Love To Kill").

This one's also exciting because it's a fantasy, romance and comedy all in one.

A teaser of "My Girlfriend is a Gumiho" is already being shown on ABS-CBN and is expected to air this May.

And that is if ABS-CBN doesn't change its mind. (Knowing ABS-CBN, pabago-bago isip nila!)

GMA 7 gets right to air Koreanovela "Playful Kiss"

Hyun Bin stars in "Secret Garden".GMA 7 will be airing very soon the Koreanovela "Playful Kiss" or "Mischievous Kiss".Hyun Bin was the male lead in My Name Is Kim Sam Soon.

"Playful Kiss" is the Korean adaptation of the Japanese manga "Itazura Na Kiss", whose Taiwanese version entitled "It Started With A Kiss" was shown on ABS-CBN.

The Koreanovela also stars Kim Hyun-Joong, who gained popularity as Ji-hoo in "Boys Over Flowers" which was also shown on ABS-CBN.

That's why, many Kapamilya fans are disappointed that "Playful Kiss" will be airing not on ABS-CBN, but on its rival network, GMA 7.

Reportedly, GMA bought the right to air "Playful Kiss" while it was still airing in Korea last October.

No date yet for the Philippine airing of "Playful Kiss", coz GMA 7 will air first another Koreanovela "Secret Garden" starring Hyun Bin (My Name is Kim Sam Soon) and Ha Ji Wo ("Memories of Bali") this coming May 2 on its Telebabad block.
