With the Miss Universe pageant taking centre stage at the moment, I almost forgot that South Africa participates in a number of other international pageants. The Miss Tourism Queen International pageant reaches a climax on 28 August in China, and the Miss Intercontinental pageant concludes on 27 September in Belarus.South Africa will be represented at Miss Tourism Queen International by Carisa Venter. Very little information can be found on this girl other than she is 18 years old and is 1,73m tall. Will she win the title? Absolutely not in my opinion.
Our representative at Miss Intercontinental is Jezelle Kruger (pictured above). She is a 20 year old beauty therapy student in Vereeniging and is 1,70m tall. I'm undecided about this girl. She looks good in some photographs, but dreadful in others. Once again, I don't think she stands a hope in hell of winning the crown given the quality of the other contestants.
Oh boy! South Africa has so many gorgeous woman, but they couldn't care less about representing the country. Apart from the Mrs United Nation International title, I think the trophy cabinet will be bare again this year.
