Actually it's only two, but the third surname also starts with an "F".Whilst the Miss Universe pageant and, to a lesser extent, the Miss Teen World pageant were in the news in recent weeks, another international pageant with a South African interest slipped by under the radar. The Miss Deaf International pageant was held in Las Vegas in July.
Not only did South Africa's Vicki Fourie place 3rd at the pageant, she also started a fanatastic run of performances for South African beauties at international events. Vicki's 3rd place at Miss Deaf International was followed by a 3rd place at Miss Teen World for Ti-Amore Fourie and a Top 10 finish at Miss Universe for Nicole Flint.
Vicki Fourie has also made the Top 50 in the Miss South Africa pageant and has her eye on a Top 24 spot next month. Well done Vicki on a job well done, and here's wishing you all the best in your quest for the Miss South Africa crown.
